Meet Our Leadership Team

Pastor
Johnny Larrabee
Pastor
Johnny has faithfully served as the pastor of Edgewood Church since 2018. The son of a pastor and missionary, he was raised in Christian ministry, with formative experiences that stretched from East Chicago to the Amazon rainforest. After completing Bible College in 1991, Johnny began serving in various church leadership roles, focusing on Music, Youth, and Children’s Ministries. Over the years, he has gained a broad range of ministry experience in both traditional and modern church settings. He has been mentored by seasoned pastors and ministry leaders, which has helped shape his deep passion for Biblical teaching, discipleship, and shepherding the local church. Johnny and his wife, Marguarite, have been serving in ministry together since before their marriage in 1995. They have two daughters and enjoy spending time together as a family. Whether making music, enjoying the outdoors, or gathering with friends and family, they embrace life with joy and a heart for serving others.      Johnny oversees: Pastoral duties, as well as Maintenance/ Facilities/Landscaping.
Worship Leader
Melissa Gibson
Team Member
Mel’s servant’s heart, compassionate spirit, and structured mind make her a remarkable servant leader. But above all, it’s her love for God and for others that shines most clearly to everyone who meets her. At work, Mel is known as a caring and dedicated manager, overseeing the production of hundreds of educational videos each year. At church, we’ve come to understand the deeper motivation behind that dedication—a sincere love for God that compels her to serve wholeheartedly. Whether she’s working in video production, women’s ministry, music ministry, event planning, or community service projects, Mel brings the same heart of worship and excellence to everything she does. She has a deep desire to study and understand the Word of God, and her passion for Bible study is evident in her daily walk. Her Christian upbringing and education, including her post-secondary degrees, have shaped her in many ways. Yet it is the love of God working in and through her that we see most clearly—and that truly defines who she is. Mel oversees: Member Care and Support/ Records and Documents/ Strategic Planning
Youth Pastor
Nancy Parochelli
Team Member
Originally from Chicago, Nancy and her husband, Lou, have been blessed to be part of Edgewood Church since 2019. God uses Nancy as a catalyst to help weave together the diverse gifts, talents, and personalities of the church family—not only through her administrative skills and record keeping, but also through her spiritual gift of exhortation, which brings unity to the team. At age 19, Nancy was introduced to the concept of “amazing grace” and was overjoyed to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Savior for her sins. Nancy has been involved in ministry—ranging from children’s and youth programs to the development of women’s and mentoring ministries within her church. She currently enjoys worshipping and serving through children’s and women’s ministries and has a particular passion for coordinating church events. She and Lou are the proud parents of four children and grandparents to ten grandchildren. In their free time, they enjoy swimming, gardening, and—by their own admission—drinking too much coffee!  Nancy is involved in Children & Women’s Ministries and supports the Bark Park Operations

Pastor
Malcolm Burgess
Team Member
Malcolm has dedicated much of his adult life to serving in various church and school ministries. His strengths in planning, organization, and structure—combined with his servant-hearted willingness to do whatever needs to be done—make him an invaluable part of the leadership team. Malcolm’s years of ministry and work experience are rooted in the strong foundation of his Christian upbringing. He was raised by a devoted mother, a woman of deep faith and conviction, who instilled in him and his sister a love for God and a commitment to Christ-centered living. After the passing of Malcolm’s father when he was just three years old, his mother made countless sacrifices to provide her children with a Christian education. Her dedication eventually opened doors for Malcolm to study music at Liberty University. Since 2009, he has served alongside Johnny in the areas of music, teaching, and departmental leadership. He plays a key role in planning and leading Sunday services and is part of the regular Sunday morning preaching rotation. Malcolm oversees: Planning and Scheduling/ Social media and website updates/Sight and sound tech

Marguarite Larrabee
Team Member
Marguarite is the wife of our pastor, Johnny, and they have been faithfully married since 1995. Together, they have served in ministry for over 30 years, touching lives across all age groups—from young children to senior adults—in various church communities. Marguarite has a deep compassion for hurting people, especially children. This calling was a key part of her family's decision to serve as a foster family for eight years. Her love for children continues today through her work in a local preschool, where she pours her heart into nurturing young lives. Grateful for her Christian upbringing, Marguarite finds her greatest joy in worship—considering praise and worship her favorite way to give back to God. Her deepest desire is to see people made whole and set free to become all that God created them to be. Marguarite oversees: Inside Facilities/ Upkeep/ Special usage and planning.
